Further to LTB 639/19 which was circulated on 1st November 2019 and provided Branches with a template letter for use when approaching local employment agencies on the above matter, I can confirm that the DGS(P) Department has now received a positive response from the following employment agencies:
• Manpower UK Limited
• Pertemps Employment Agencies
The HR Manager on behalf of Manpower UK Limited has confirmed that “Manpower UK Limited will, of course, adhere to our obligations in line with Regulation 7 of The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations”.
The Group HR & Quality Director of Pertemps has confirmed “We are fully aware of our legal obligations under regulation 7 of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003” and that “Pertemps has, and will always, continue to comply with those obligations”.
In light of this national clarification, there is now no further requirement for Branches to send local correspondence to these two employment agencies.
The Department will continue to keep this situation under review, but in the interim I would like to thank Branches for the work undertaken so far.
