Colleagues of a heavily pregnant woman who was stabbed to death in Croydon are “in total shock”.
Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, 26, sadly died at the scene on Raymead Avenue on Saturday, June 29.
Police and paramedics rushed to the Thornton Heath address at around 3.30am, and delivered the baby. The newborn was rushed to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Tributes have poured in for Kelly, including from her colleagues. The mum-to-be worked as a postal worker for Croydon Delivery Office.
Dave Ward, general secretary of the Communication Workers Union paid tribute on Twitter.
Mr Ward said: “Kelly leaves behind a baby fighting for their life, a family devastated by the loss and colleagues who are in total shock.
“The union will do everything possible to help Kelly’s family and our members during this period.”
Mr Ward called on the Government and London Mayor Sadiq Khan to reverse police cuts in the wake of the death.
